Please click on their link to familiarize yourself with important security protocols that'll make your visit to the Point too easy (pardon the jargon).
Fort Montgomery Battle Site
Fort Montgomery was the setting of a fierce Revolutionary War battle fought for the control of the Hudson River's strategic use as a shipping waterway. Visitors today can tour the remains of the 14-acre fortification and on some days catch a reenactment. Or hike the grounds and link up with the nearby Appalachian Trail.
